Comil Ônibus promotes awareness and prevention actions in Pink October

In the month of October, Comil Ônibus promoted Pink October with several breast cancer awareness and prevention actions, including the distribution of pink ribbons, health checks and a walk. The initiative highlights the company's commitment to women's health and the importance of early detection.

In October, Comil Ônibus reaffirmed its commitment to the health and well-being of its employees, joining the Pink October movement to promote awareness and prevention of breast cancer. With a special program aimed at women, the company promoted preventive care and reinforced the importance of early detection of the disease.

The campaign began with the distribution of pink ribbons to employees, symbolizing everyone's support for the cause. On “D-Day”, everyone was invited to wear pink and take part in a collective photo. Occupational Health played a fundamental role in the actions, offering cervical exams to employees and referring women over 50 years old for mammography exams. The “Mamãe Amiga” action provided guidance on self-examination, a fundamental step to identify possible changes.

The initiatives also included a moment of solidarity, with haircuts for donation, benefiting patients undergoing cancer treatment. The program also included a pink awareness walk in Longines Malinoski Park, which brought together employees and family members to help prevent breast cancer, and also a lecture by nutritionist Kamila Gimenes on “What can we do to reduce the risk of having cancer.”

To end the month, everyone was able to watch a video by collaborator Marli Lapinski, from the Electrical Components sector, who shared her inspiring testimony after winning the battle against breast cancer: “In 2021, I discovered breast cancer. There were many battles and challenges, but today I am cured! I want my testimony to touch each of you, highlighting the importance of prevention. Cancer is silent, but a cure is possible. So, love each other, take care of yourself and, above all, take care of yourself.”

These moving actions and testimonials reinforce Comil Ônibus' commitment to women's health and promote a culture of awareness essential in the fight against breast cancer.
