Comil Internship Program presents five projects developed by students.
Young professionals working in different areas of the company presented details of their studies to shareholders, coordinators, supervisors, and employees.
Every year, dozens of students take their first professional steps at Comil. The company, which accommodates various academic disciplines, offers opportunities for those wishing to enter the job market and pursue a career in the industry. On Thursday, July 30, six of these students currently interning at Comil presented their projects at the Comil Internship Showcase, concluding the 2026 cycle of the Internship Program.
The Internship Showcase is an occasion to share the projects developed by interns throughout the program, highlighting the practical application of the knowledge they have acquired. In addition to valuing the results achieved, the initiative fosters critical thinking and continuous learning while strengthening the sense of belonging to the organizational culture.
This edition featured five projects developed by six interns, representing different areas of the company and demonstrating the contributions each project made to its respective sector.
According to Pedro Lucas Zanin Pagliosa—an Electrical Engineering student at URI and an intern in the Product Engineering department (Electrical Components cell)—developing the project was demanding and challenging. He presented the project "Optimization of Audio and Video Networks Associated with the Device Manager." "It was well worth conducting this study and showing that it can generate savings for the company. My hope is that it can actually be implemented one day," he said.
Projects presented:
• Optimization of Space and Purchase Order Flow – Presented by Anabella Rodriguez – Central Warehouse intern;
• Optimization of Audio and Video Networks Associated with the Device Manager – Presented by Pedro Lucas Zanin Pagliosa – Product Engineering intern;
• Development of a Code Verification System – Presented by Victória Quadros – Product Engineering intern; • Process Manager (GDP) – A system for managing and standardizing production processes – Presented by João Bortulini and Bernardo da Fontoura – Process Engineering interns;
• Implementation of the "Red Card" workflow in the Parts Manufacturing Department – Presented by Laura Nicolau – intern in the Production Planning and Control (PPC) Department.
Comil has been running its internship program since 2022 with the aim of offering students the opportunity to complement their academic education, providing practical experience and technical skill development through courses, workshops, and supervised activities. As Human Resources Manager Fernanda Parmegiani explains, "Aligned with the needs of the company and each department, this is also an opportunity for us to identify and develop the potential of university students, ensuring they are prepared for future roles within Comil."
