Comil Qualifies Its Team

The start of 2024 at Comil ônibus S.A. was marked by intensive training for its team.

Training staff and engaging them in the production of high quality buses for our customers and passengers is one of the daily motivations of COMIL ÔNIBUS, which for five consecutive years has started the first half of the year by training its employees. "At COMIL, every delivery involves the work of many people. That's why we focus on the qualification and development of each professional who makes our company happen," comments Mr Deoclécio Corradi, President of Comil Ônibus. "We invest in our team so that they become better and better professionals," he adds.

This year, 462 employees were trained by COMIL's in-house team of instructors, who delivered more than 55,000 hours of training at the start of 2024 alone, a record for the company. On average, each employee received 121 hours of technical training with content on Quality Assurance, Reading and Interpreting Technical Drawings, Metrology, Workplace Safety, Operating Hand and Pneumatic Tools, Ergonomics, Maintenance, 5S, Kamban, Family Budgeting, as well as behavioural content such as professional attitude and values. Practical vocational training courses were also held for sewing, welding, painting, electrics, assembly and NR training.

As well as preparing employees to better perform their duties, the initiative aims to develop skills such as teamwork, planning, creativity and problem-solving. "As well as training professionals who are technically capable in their role, this intensive qualification brings immeasurable returns in terms of developing behavioural skills and aligning our team," explains Fernanda Parmeggiani, HR Manager. "These are professional courses that can be used beyond the company's borders, throughout the professional and life career of each member of our team," she concludes.
