Comil reinforces Tursan Turismo's fleet with 110 Versatile units.

The vehicles will be used for chartering operations for the company's various clients.

A benchmark in the development of solutions for public transport, COMIL ÔNIBUS, together with VOLKSWAGEN, is expanding its participation in the charter market after strengthening its partnership with TURSAN TURISMO.

As one of the main transport operators in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Tursan Turismo has acquired 110 units of COMIL's Versatile bodywork, coupled to a Volkswagen 17.230 Euro 6 chassis, with new technologies and greater safety for drivers and passengers. The vehicles, with a total length of 12,500 mm and capacity for 46 passengers, will be used in charter operations for the company's various clients. To offer more comfort and safety to users of short-distance services, the company opted for executive seats, as well as individual USB connectors, cup holders, wood flooring, air conditioning and accessibility.

For the Commercial Director of Comil Ônibus, Tiago Zanette, having a product that delivers performance, agility and guarantees low maintenance costs facilitates significant partnerships, "The Versatile is a joker in charter and line transport, aimed at exceeding the expectations of fleet owners, drivers and passengers. These differentials strengthen us in the eyes of large companies like Tursan," he emphasises.

The 110 units purchased by Tursan are already being delivered, which will guarantee the registration and renewal of part of the fleet in operation later this year.  The partnership with Comil is in line with Provisional Measure 1175/23, which aims to reduce the circulation of vehicles that are more than 20 years old, with the aim of offering entrepreneurs safer and more sustainable vehicles.

"Comil is a partner that has always listened to us and through our feedback has gradually improved its product. What's more, it's a company with a family-orientated relationship, where the contact goes from the salespeople, managers and engineers to the directors and owners of the company," praises Luiz Junior, director of Tursan.

This is the mission of COMIL products, to further consolidate the brand on the national and international market, reinforcing the commitment to take care of every detail, always working to improve people's lives and daily lives with transparency, seriousness and a lot of passion.

TURSAN AND COMIL: PARTNERSHIP CELEBRATES 25 YEARS

The history between Tursan and Comil began in 1999, when the company acquired 30 Campione 3.25 bodies mounted on Volkswagen Volksbus chassis, the first in the fleet. At that time, Tursan was already striving for comfort and safety, so all the vehicles had super soft seats, partitions in the cabins and total hood sealing. This was the beginning of a paradigm shift in the national charter sector, which until then had been very resistant to front-engined vehicles.

Twenty-five years have passed and since then, Tursan has grown and carried out countless deals in the charter and transportation sector, totaling more than 600 vehicles purchased under the Comil brand during this period, closely following and experiencing the evolution of the vehicles and, above all, of the company.

"Over the years, we've had several innovations in the bodies. These include lifting platforms for people with special needs, electronic itineraries, USB chargers for drivers and passengers, retractable seat belts, air-conditioning units that are practically mandatory, anti-crushing door systems, monitoring cameras, tinted glass, among others. It's noticeable that the level of passenger comfort has increased exponentially over the last few decades," says Luiz Junior, Director of Tursan.

This year, Tursan acquired 110 bodies from Comil, all Versatile models. In addition, the company has just acquired a Campione Invictus DD vehicle, which will transport the professional soccer team of Clube de Regatas Vasco da Gama, and will be customized with the club's colors.

Next year there will be another 200 vehicles, reiterating the trust and further strengthening the bonds of friendship between Tursan and Comil.
