BLUE NOVEMBER: taking care of your health is also a man's job!

With the central theme "TAKING CARE OF HEALTH IS ALSO A MAN THING!", Comil's 2023 Blue November campaign was marked by awareness and prevention of Prostate Cancer.

The month of November is marked by campaigns to raise awareness of men's health. Every year, COMIL ÔNIBUS S.A., concerned about the well-being of its staff, promotes internal prevention and awareness campaigns alluding to Blue November.

With the central theme "TAKING CARE OF HEALTH IS ALSO A MAN THING!", the 2023 campaign is being marked by awareness and prevention of Prostate Cancer and has included various activities, such as: lectures given by Dr Marcos Santin on essential care for men's health, encouraging healthy habits; referrals for prostate examinations for employees over 50; solidarity collection of sheets, blankets and towels that will be sent to organisations that support men undergoing treatment, among others.

"Blue November is a valuable opportunity to draw men's attention to the importance of looking after their health, which goes far beyond merely preventing prostate cancer. It's a call for them to be more attentive to the needs of their bodies and minds, to adopt healthy habits and seek regular medical care, putting aside prejudice," said occupational physician Dr Marcos Santin.

Early diagnosis is the only way to guarantee a cure for prostate cancer. Even in the absence of symptoms, men aged 45 and over with risk factors, or 50 and over without them, should visit a urologist to discuss preventive examinations. Comil runs awareness campaigns throughout the year, working on a different theme each month, with the main aim of disseminating information on well-being and health care to its entire team of employees.
