Comil Launches the 360° Excellence Program

The initiative aims to integrate safety, organization, maintenance, and continuous improvement, strengthening the company’s culture and driving results.

In February of this year, Comil launched the Comil 360° Excellence Program, a management system that integrates people, processes, and organizational culture with the goal of continuously improving the work environment and the company’s performance. Based on three fundamental pillars—structured work routines, clear and standardized communication, and continuous employee development—the Comil 360° Excellence Program brings together six core programs that support daily operations: Safety, 5S, Maintenance, Ideas, Quality, and Standard Work.

Guided by the company’s values and driven by a continuous improvement cycle, the program encourages teamwork through collective participation; promotes safe behaviors to prevent workplace accidents; fosters a clean, organized, and standardized environment that enhances well-being, safety, and operational efficiency; ensures proper care and maintenance of machinery and equipment; engages employees in improvement initiatives; and supports the ongoing development and training of the workforce. The program has a direct impact on the company’s strategic results, with a primary focus on the quality of products and services.

“The Comil 360° Excellence Program was created with the purpose of strengthening our organizational culture and engaging everyone in the continuous improvement process. When teams actively participate in change, results become more consistent,” says Marco Antônio Camargo, Industrial Director.

Each department actively participates in the system through monthly targets related to the program’s pillars. When a department achieves its goals, it earns excellence badges that represent compliance with best practices in each area. Examples of targets include completing 5S audits, executing safety routines, adhering to autonomous and preventive maintenance practices, implementing improvement ideas, and training teams. Departments also accumulate internal scores, encouraging engagement and team participation.

“Modern industry increasingly demands organization, operational discipline, and team involvement. The 360° Excellence Program is a system that helps us integrate these practices into our daily operations. The first results already show that we are on the right track. When safety, quality, maintenance, and continuous improvement work together, we are able to raise the overall level of our operations,” concludes Marco Antônio Camargo.
